Privacy Policy for TargetLock

This Privacy Policy explains how TargetLock handles information when you use the TargetLock iOS app. TargetLock is designed to measure estimated distance using your device camera and ARKit. The app is built to work locally on your device.

Data Collection

TargetLock does not collect personal data from users. The app does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not send measurement data, camera images, or device information to a server controlled by us.

Camera Access

TargetLock requests access to your device camera so it can display the live camera view and perform AR distance measurement. Camera frames are processed on your device for measurement purposes. TargetLock does not upload, sell, or share camera images or video.

ARKit and Measurement Data

TargetLock uses Apple's ARKit technology to obtain camera tracking and camera calibration information needed for distance estimation. Measurement values are calculated on your device. Measurement accuracy depends on the device, lighting, tracking quality, target alignment, tap precision, and the accuracy of the target height entered by the user.

Local App Settings

TargetLock may store app preferences locally on your device, such as display units, theme, and grid overlay settings. These preferences are used only to operate the app and are not transmitted to us.

Measurement History and Sharing

TargetLock may show recent measurements inside the app during use. If you choose to share a measurement using the iOS share sheet, the information is shared only with the destination you select. TargetLock does not control the privacy practices of other apps or services you choose to share with.

No Location Tracking

TargetLock does not request or use your precise or approximate location.

No Advertising or Tracking

TargetLock does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).

No Analytics or Third-Party Data Collection

TargetLock does not include analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or other third-party SDKs that collect user data.

Children's Privacy

TargetLock is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Retention

Because TargetLock does not collect personal data, we do not retain personal data on our servers. Local app preferences remain on your device until you change them, reset them, or delete the app.

Your Privacy Choices

You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings. If camera access is disabled, TargetLock's AR measurement features may not work. You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if TargetLock's features or data practices change. Any updated policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
